It’s hard to sift through all of the good games out there in the AppStore so I was happy when I found Dizzy Bee. Dizzy Bee is a great game. With a $2.99 price tag there is no reason not to get this game.

If any of you have played LocoRoco then you will feel right at home with Dizzy Bee. Dizzy Bee is controlled by tilting the iPhone every different way to get your “Dizzy Bee” to roll around and collect frozen fruits which then become alive just like you. Your goal is to bring them back home to safety. Along the way you can collect flowers. Dizzy Bee is set up in bite-size levels for a great pick-up-and-play feeling. You are scored at the end of each level for how many fruit you’ve saved, how many flowers you’ve collected, and lastly you are scored on your “chain” which means they encourage you to get all of the fruits first and then bring them all to safety at once. The longer your chain of fruits the higher your score. You are then awarded either a bronze, silver, or gold medal based on your performance. This is great because you aren’t just beating levels you are trying to perfect them which gives you a reason to come back to the levels once you’ve completed them.

Dizzy Bee is a very cute and artsy type of game. The art direction is what initially drew me into the game and the gameplay is what kept me there. With over 8 islands to explore Dizzy Bee will keep you busy for hours. It is a great game for the iPhone in it’s bite-sized chunks and I hope to see more titles like this from Igloo-Games in the future. Dizzy Bee is a must download for everyone.
