Those eager to consume all things Mass Effect 2, now have a chance to glimpse the game in action…sort of.

A few days ago 1up posted some off-screen footage briefly demonstrating a little gameplay and a cutscene.

The material was shown at the “Iterative Level Design Process of Bioware’s Mass Effect 2″ panel at GDC and is understandably beta in appearance. It’s hard to draw any conclusions about what are confirmed parts of the actual game and what’s conceptual, but it looks very promising. The audio is canned but the action and gun fire have a seriously cool intensity. The environments appeared a little richer as well.
