I agree. There are several films I have listed that I would definitely not recommend for kids and a few even some adults might find a little affecting, Dear Zachary and No Country for Old Men, in particular. I actually stated a warning for Dear Zachary because I felt it was appropriate even beyond simply the cautions provided in descriptions or other reviews.

In the case of most films there are ratings and it's easy enough for parents, or anyone to check out the content, which I assume anyone would do anyway. I absolutely encourage everyone to check out the rating and info on a film before they decide if they want to see it which I imagine most anyone would anyway. I would hope that anyone checking out these films would do so.

Paprika is the latest film by Satoshi Kon and covers a lot of very similar territory as Perfect Blue. The animation is pretty sweet. I think my favorite film by Kon, and favorite use of his style is millenium actress. Though the ending has been criticized by some it's a really entertaining movie and less psychologically dark then most of his others.

No I haven't seen Kakuenbo, I read about it before but I haven't had the chance to check it out. I just added it to my que. As far as some sweet animation goes, two of the most beautiful anime I've seen are Tekkon Kinkreet and Howl's Moving Castle, though I'm not a huge fan of the latter otherwise.

Also I was watching an HQ video of Akira on youtube (of all places) and was surprised at the level of detail. I'd seen it before but I guess the newer HQ transfers really bring out the fidelity.

So i watched Perfect Blue. Word of Warning: do not let kids see that movie. It did a good job of showing the main character slowly losing her mind, but it is not for Kids...or people who struggle with issues of nudity.

I can think of one anime that should be one your lists that you may not even have seen. It's called Kakurenbo: Hide and Seek, and it is quite the short anime film.
