Red Faction: Origins Movie Coming Next Year

There has been talk for quite sometime now that we were getting a Red Faction film.  Well it has now been confirmed that the THQ and SYFY movie project will come to life in March 2011 which is around the same time Red Faction: Armageddon is set to release.  Here is official synopsis that was found on Shacknews.

Described as a “pilot” movie, the two-hour film follows Jake, the last surviving son of Alec Mason, as he battles against a new human army who have lured his sister into their Red Faction-hating web. Origins is set to take place between the events of Red Faction: Guerrilla and Red Faction: Armageddon.

Q1 of 2011 should be a busy time for Red Faction fans.
