Take-Two Interactive today has named Roy Halladay their cover athlete for this year’s MLB 2K 11. Roy Halladay is the number 1 candidate this year for the National League Cy Young Award, which he won in 2003 while playing in the American League for the Toronto Blue Jays. Halladay also this year threw only the 2nd post-season no hitter of all time, and only the 20th perfect game of all time back in May during the regular season.
2K Sports were very happy to add Roy to the list of great athletes to grace the covers of their 2K franchise titles. 2K also believes that he will be the one to win the Cy Young award, when it is announced later today. When Halladay was asked how he felt about being on the cover, he had this to say
I’m honored to be on the cover of Major League Baseball 2K11, I’m not one for predictions, but should 2K Sports be right about tomorrow, well, that would be a great way to end the year.” Certainly, it would be a better ending than the current one”
MLB 2K11 will be out just in time for Spring training this March, for the Xbox 360, PS3, PC, Wii, PSP, and the PS2.
