I’ve been deep within the dark recesses of Hammerfall Publishing from the beginning. I hear things such as, in the future, there is only war. Now, however, I finally see what it looks like up close and personal for a Space Marine to take a chainsword to an Ork! Warhammer 40K: Regicide asks one thing: “Kingslayers, are you ready to make your move?”
Warhammer 40K: Regicide Trailer
In the Warhammer 40K lore, they play a futuristic version of Chess that is called Regicide. Today, this vision of the future has been revealed. Soon we will all understand what it means to play Regicide.
He must be annihilated!
WAAAGH! What a trailer! Did you see the Ork Warboss?! In Warhammer 40K: Regicide, your king piece is not going to be some weakling that you can just push over. It is going to be the most dangerous and volatile piece on the board!
Hammerfall Publishing promised to deliver something special today, and they absolutely did. As much as I am loving this trailer, (and please keep in mind these are in-game assets) this is actual gameplay footage! At the end of the trailer, if you pause it, you will notice the Collector’s Edition Bundle, which includes a game access key and season pass. That tells me one important thing; it’s going to be an actual release with DLC and not have a Free to Play store model. That’s absolutely brilliant!
Did you sign up for your White Scars army yet?
Do not forget that Hammerfall Publishing is offering the White Scars army exclusively for free as a pre-launch bonus for simply registering your game account, which doesn’t cost a dime. This offer will expire once Warhammer 40K: Regicide is launched. The link is provided below! Also check out the forums and news feed while you are there.
To quote Hammerfall Publishing to show you the level of detail and care that they are committed to bringing to Warhammer 40K: Regicide:
“Our vision for Warhammer 40K: Regicide was clear – to create a game which paid homage to the vast heritage of Warhammer 40k. Today this vision was revealed.”
“Beyond the rubble and the destruction lies a tactical game which embodies the brutal reality of the Warhammer 40K: Universe – both in the visuals and the gameplay.”
It’s not often I am this excited for a game trailer of all things, but if the trailer is any indication of what is to come, I am sure I am not alone in my elation.
