A Boy and His Blob (Wii)
0 CommentsPosted by Patrick Adams on October 29, 2009 under Wii Reviews
I remember growing up playing A Boy and His Blob for the NES with my best friend John. We never really got very far in the game but just the fact that they made a game called "A Boy and His Blob" was reason enough to make us play it. It's funny to see that someone has taken the initiative to make a re-make of the title. Ever since it was announced I thought it was a great idea, especially with the... more.

Why Gamestop is Looking Sad

When I first heard that Best Buy was to start testing out kiosks that allow you to trade-in DVD's, games etc., I was ecstatic. I thought of the potential and the fact that we may soon have a better option then Gamestop. Basically the way the kiosks work is, you take games and then the kiosk determines how much credit you get. It then gives you a gift card which you can use in their store. I am ver... more.

UP: The Video Game

It's been a while since I've played a "family" game, probably since LEGO Indiana Jones and I didn't even play much of it. I personally felt the gameplay was a little bland for the LEGO games. UP on the other hand is the exact opposite. It was really fun. Besides the recently released X-Men Origins: Wolverine most video games based off of movies are pretty lame. UP in my opinion is the second game ... more.

The Grinder

Wii owners may finally have a legitimate reason to have internet access. In an exclusive unveiling IGN premiered an upcoming 4 player co-op monster shooter called The Grinder. With the campy style of it's poster and over the top, tongue in cheek styling, I'd say it's going for a Grindhouse-esque vibe and something similar to Left 4 Dead in terms of gameplay. The game is being developed by High ... more.

If you are one of the many gamers who overlooked the late Clover Studios’ Okami during its Playstation 2 release in 2006, and you own a Wii, than you owe it to yourself to pick up this port of the original masterpiece. Now I know even here sitting at my computer miles away from where ever you are reading this that your eyes just rolled when you read the word port used in conjunction with a PS2 t... more.

November 17 & 19, 2006, where were you? Well, if you're an early adopter chances are you were waiting in a line at one of the many video game retailers across the country. Gamers (and eBay entrepreneurs) lined the sidewalks of retailers in anticipation of Sony and Nintendo's foray into the next gen console war. Two years removed and questions still remain for both consoles, but when it comes t... more.

Konami’s Critter Round-Up

My mom and sister are here to visit and I was expecting to have Wii Fit on Monday (not Wednesday) but that didn't happen so I decided to look on WiiWare and see if there was anything fun to download for us to play. I noticed Konami's Critter Round-Up was available and after checking a trailer for it I thought it looked like cute family fun. So I shelled out $10...yes $10...more than the price of t... more.

Lost Winds

Now that my Xbox 360 is in repair I was happy to come back to the Wii and check out what WiiWare had to offer. I decided to download Lost Winds over the weekend. Boy am I glad I did. I had heard some good things about it from various journalists and knew that I would have to give it a try. Lost Winds is a great game, the best on WiiWare by far. The main game mechanic at work here is wind. You use ... more.
